Update 16-12-2005

Although more than seventy percent of our planet is covered with water, only two and a half percent is available as fresh water, of which more than ninety percent is locked away in glaciers or buried deep in the ground. Less than one-hundredth of one percent of the world’s water is both drinkable and renewed each year through precipitation.

Water is a precious resource that has to be managed in a sustainable way. Still, one third of the accessible freshwater resources are made unusable by pollution. In order to protect water resources we advise in close co-operation with leading universities and research institutes on sustainable water management and the remediation of water resources. This includes monitoring of groundwater with innovative technologies employing environmental isotopes and modern tracers, soft remediation technologies and integrated solutions.
